Jessica Alba’s second wedding
November 14, 2008
Jessica Alba is set to wear a $47,000 gown to her wedding party.
The ‘Sin City’ actress, who married Cash Warren in an intimate ceremony earlier this year, is planning a lavish belated celebration next month for her friends and family.
Jessica has also ordered a stunning custom-made off-white Chanel dress trimmed with lace for the bash.
A source said: “Jessica first wanted to wear a traditional gown with a veil, but then she changed her mind because she thought it would be over the top.
“Instead she chose a dress that could pass as a wedding gown but also work for a formal event, like the Oscars.”
Jessica and Cash, who have a five-month-old daughter Honor together, tied the knot in a private civil ceremony at the Beverly Hills Courthouse in June.

The actress, who shares the Los Angeles mansion with her husband Cash Warren and their five-month-old daughter Honor, is thrilled with the refurbishment and says it’s the perfect home for her family.
She said: “It’s kid-friendly, animal-friendly. You can jump on the sofas, walk around barefoot. There’s nothing off-limits here.”
Jessica, who also has three dogs, says she insisted on using non-toxic paint and recycled furniture in the environmentally-friendly property.
She added: “The energy here is so inviting – it is open and playful. And everywhere you look, inside and out, you get to see a part of nature.”
The 27-year-old beauty also revealed her film producer spouse is very domesticated and loves helping out with Honor.
Jessica told America’s InStyle magazine: “He is pretty organised for a dude.”

The 27-year-old actress – who welcomed Honor, her first child with husband Cash Warren, into the world in June – is finding it difficult to leave her daughter when she goes to work.
She told People magazine: “To be honest with you, it’s tough – and if it was any other movie I wouldn’t be doing it. It’s difficult to spend any time away from her.
“I love my daughter and she’s going to be with me every day on the set.”
Jessica plays a mathematics teacher who helps troubled young students in the new movie, which also stars Mackenzie Milone.
The stunning star recently revealed becoming a mother has given her life new meaning.
She said: “So far, motherhood is the best thing ever. It is exhausting but way more fulfilling than anything I have done. Everything I do now is so much more meaningful because of her.”

Jessica Alba may have given birth only four months ago, but the Hollywood sex symbol showed she is already back to her best as she flaunted her remarkable post-baby body on a Mexican beach.
The 27-year-old appeared toned and fit on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, wearing a black halter bikini that showed off her rock-hard abs just three months after giving birth. “The Love Guru” star later donned a black cover-up dress for a game of beach volleyball with husband Cash Warren and pals.
The Latina star showed how she’s managed to shed her pregnancy weight so quickly with a spot of beach volleyball.
Alba and Warren, 29, were married in a small Beverly Hills ceremony in May, and welcomed daughter Honor Marie in June.
Jessica Alba’s blonde power
October 19, 2008
Jessica Alba was chatted up more when she was blonde. The 27-year-old actress says she never had more male attention than when she dyed her hair blonde for her role as stripper Nancy Callahan in 2005 movie ‘Sin City’.
She said: “When I went blonde for ‘Sin City’ three years ago, I swear I’ve never had more male attention. I’d go to a bar and all these Arab Princes and much older men would want to buy me a drink – I’m talking guys in their 80s!”
Jessica also revealed her on-screen image is very different to her real-life character.
She added to Cosmopolitan magazine: “I’m a total nerd at heart. If I’m not working I spend the whole day in my pyjamas. I’ve never been desperate to be out there at parties, or to be playing the dating game.”
Jessica Alba poses for raunchy ad campaign
September 12, 2008
Jessica Alba has appeared in a raunchy bondage-themed advertising campaign in an attempt to encourage young people to vote.
The Sin City actress stars in the dramatic photographic campaign for voter group Declare Yourself – which encourages young people to register to vote in the upcoming US Presidential election – and is seen topless, with black tape across her mouth and chest and heavy eye make-up.
The pictures include the tag ‘Only You Can Silence Yourself’, and Jessica, 27, claims they “really resonate” with the issue of voter registration.
She said: “If you don’t register and vote and make a difference, and hopefully change the bad things that are happening in our country, you are essentially just binding and muzzling yourself.
“We sign up for MySpace pages and Facebook pages, and download music off the internet. The least people can do is register to vote online, actually making a difference in their world, not just making their lives a little bit cooler.”
Photographer Marc Liddel shot the campaign, and despite the racy nature of the pictures Jessica insists she was not embarrassed.
She said: “It didn’t freak me out at all. What I like about Marc’s work is that he tells a story and brings real emotion to his pictures.”
The actress has also spoken about her three-month-old baby Honor, her first child with husband Cash Warren, insisting being a parent is the most fulfilling thing she has experienced.
She said: “So far motherhood is the best thing ever. It is exhausting but way more fulfilling than anything I have done. Everything I do now is so much more meaningful because of her.”
Other stars posing in the campaign include Andre 3000 and Christina Aguilera.
