Jessica Juggles Family and Hollywood Obligations
December 12, 2008
It’s always amazing how much energy Jessica Alba has. She always seems to be everywhere and do everything at once and she never even seems tired. This week was definitely no exception.
Today (December 11), for example, Jess and her husband Cash had lunch in Brentwood together. They went to the Gaucho Grill and, judging by their hand holding and the expressions on their faces, they’re still feeling like newlyweds. Of course, it was hard to see much of Jess’ face, considering she was wearing the over-sized sunglasses she’s taken to wearing a lot lately.
Meanwhile, last night Jessica made an appearance at the opening of the Conga Room in Los Angeles. It was quite a party. Dylan McDermott and Eva Longoria also attended and so did many other celebrity guests. The Black Eyed Peas supplied the music for the evening, but without Fergie, who was in London at the time.
It’s amazing that Jessica had the energy for such a party considering what she was up to Tuesday. Cameras caught her with Honor Marie on a play date in the park. I don’t envy Jess looking after a little one like that all day. It can take a lot out of most people, but apparently not her. She looked plenty energized the next night at the Conga Room.
The working mom’s life didn’t end there for Jessica this week, though. On Monday she was seen grocery shopping in Beverly Hills at Bristol Farms. Even great actresses need groceries, after all. She really seems to be embracing the role of wife and mother just as well as every other roll she’s played.
Speaking of roles she’s played, rumor has it that Sin City 2 is set to begin filming in Spring of 2009. Plus, she’s filming An Invisible Sign of My Own and she’s got The Killer Inside Me in pre-production!
If you’ve lost track, that means she’s playing the real-life roles of mother, wife and actress and the screen roles of a math teacher, a grieving woman and a prostitute all at once! Yet, with all that going on, she still has time to be a calendar girl. It’s amazing!
I find myself wondering what she’ll do next. Will she take Honor to the park? Will she go grocery shopping? What Hollywood hot spots will she visit next? One thing is for sure. She’s an expert juggler of family, work and time.
What roles will she take on in the future? Only time will tell. I think she ought to play a superhero again, personally. Not only was she great as Sue Storm but apparently she is a real-life wonder woman!

Jessica Alba’s Dream Baby!
November 15, 2008
Preparing for the birth of your first child can be nerve-wracking for any new mom, but for Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren, the birth of their daughter Honor Marie Warren on June 7 was anything but chaotic.
“I didn’t scream,” Jessica tells OK! in an exclusive interview and photoshoot. “It was really Zen.” And Cash could only marvel at his wife’s quiet strength when she gave birth. “She didn’t make a sound,” he says. “It was amazing.”
Here, the proud pair open their door exclusively to OK!, introducing the adorable Honor Marie Warren.
“It hasn’t totally sunk in,” Jessica reveals to OK!. “She dreams, she smiles, and coos and does all these things, but she hasn’t seen enough of the world yet to understand any of that stuff. So I still feel like she’s connected to the other world, or something. There’s no other way to explain it. It’s a miracle.”
The Love Guru star tells OK! that she had natural birth. “The labor was more like meditation,” she says. “I did yoga breathing. I was focused.”
Jessica, who tells OK! she ate “a lot of soul food” in the weeks following Honor’s birth, says she’s just now starting to shed the pregnancy pounds.
“I started working out last Thursday, but for 20 minutes. I do cardio on my own. I’m doing it slow,” she says. “Now I’m starting to eat more healthy. Because after working out, having fried chicken and mashed potatoes is a little counteractive.”
So who does Honor look more like?
“She looks like a girl version of me,” Cash says. “She has my nose, my eyebrows and my…”
“Forehead and dimples,” Jessica finishes, adding, “She has my mouth when I was a baby. And my ears.”
“Maybe Honor is a mixture,” Cash reconsiders. “I want her to look like me, because a daughter looking like Jessica, I’d kill myself!”
